BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME.....let's rebuild!
by Terry inokay we've all beat our chest, lamented and throttled the dead horse of aawa.. time to move on!.
i suggest those of us on j-w.n who care about creating something the right way take the trouble to get the framework going.. let's do the grunt work and get the nattering, debates, naming and organizing already pre-approved so that "others" who have the talent, ability, motivation and resources can move in and turn the key!.
because it was not done before.. there is more wisdom on this discussion board in our vast numbers than there could possibly be in a virtual boardroom with 8 people brain-storming.. that isn't an insult--it is just a statistical fact!.

Terry I love reading your posts and I am so grateful for this website in helping me open my eyes and helping so many others. It's been a great support for me for the last 3 years. Although I don't post much, I've been helped tremenously by all the information posted and I know I could not have walked away without it.
I still have faith in the Bible and know that all mans efforts still need God's backing to truly work. I have no doubt that he approves of anyone that speaks facts here to expose the false teachings we've all been fed.
One thing that comes to mind for me is a scripture at Revelation 17: 15-17 Let's not forget God's plan to stop all false religion.
And he says to me: “The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues. And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. For God put [it] into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out [their] one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished.
Revelation 18 goes on to describe it, I love that chapter.

The Disfellowshipping Arrangement, New Book, Hope It Helps
by graysome67 inhello, i renounced my belief/faith in the watchtower society a few years ago, though i am still a bible believer.
since departing from them, i have studied the bible aptly to try to understand it's true teachings.
i decided to start publishing essays in the hope that my research may help enlighten other disillusioned jw's by seeing alternative viewpoints, or at least pointing them in a direction that would help unlock their minds when studying the bible.

I'd be interested in reading it.
I hope you included this scripture, 1 Corinthians 4:3, this scripture always proved to me how wrong their judicial committees are. From the new world translation..
3 Now to me it is a very trivial matter that I should be examined by YOU or by a human tribunal . Even I do not examine myself. 4 For I am not conscious of anything against myself. Yet by this I am not proved righteous, but he that examines me is Jehovah.* Hence do not judge anything before the due time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring the secret things of darkness to light and make the counsels of the hearts manifest, and then each one will have his praise come to him from God.
New International Version (NIV) ...
I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. 4 My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. 5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

SHAWANGUNK — State authorities are overseeing the investigation of chemicals and debris that were found buried at Watchtower Farms.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation said the pollution was found at three different sites on the 1,141-acre property. Each of the pollution sites covers roughly 2 acres.
Matt Hubicki, a DEC environmental engineer, said hints of the contamination were found in 2007 while the Jehovah’s Witnesses organization was building an expansion.
“They found some drums while digging the foundation for one of their residential facilities,” Hubicki said. The group immediately reported the drums to the DEC.
An investigation found that several 55-gallon drums contained chemicals, including inks and solvents that were used at Watchtower’s printing press off Red Mills Road. The gigantic printing operation dates back to the 1970s, and it produces all the religious literature that the group distributes in North America.
The drums contained benzene, xylene and other chemicals that have been shown to affect human health. Construction debris and polluted soil was also uncovered at the sites.
DEC officials said it appears that Watchtower workers moved the toxic soil to these sites when printing chemicals spilled decades ago. Then they used farm machinery to aerate the soil and evaporate the contaminants.
An investigation that began this month will determine the scope of the pollution and clean-up options. Watchtower will have to pay for the cleanup; the cost has not yet been determined. The site is currently enrolled in the state Brownfield Cleanup Program.

New To Wine - Looking for Suggestions
by HintOfLime inusually, in the evenings i like to relax, watch a movie or a comple tv shows, and sip on some vodka.. lately, however, i've gotten into reading again - and vodka just isn't the right drink.
the characters in the books are often read of drinking this wine or that - which has given me a bit of a craving for a good red wine.
something relaxing, and easy enough that it doesn't get you buzzed after a few sips (inhibiting my ability to read, etc.).

"Do NOT go beyond the things written (but we can)."
by TimothyT ini was doing some research yesterday on this scripture: 1 corinthians 4:6!.
"now, brothers, these things i have transferred so as to apply to myself and a?pollos for your good, that in our case you may learn the [rule]: do not go beyond the things that are written, in order that you may not be puffed up individually in favor of the one against the other.".
read this from the watchtower 2008, april 15th, page 7:.

They completely ignore Ecclesiastes 12:12 which basically tells us the scriptures are all we need and warns of anything beyond the scriptures.
"Be warned my son of anything in addition to them. Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body."

Your letter helps me to confirm in my mind that all my doubts are very real and they do not have the truth. How could they answer any of it. Hopefully it will just help others here on this board that are still in. Thank you so much for posting.

When I looked at the pictures in the article about Christmas of all the people partying, drinking and eating, they seemed no different from all the facebook pictures I've observed of young witnesses doing the same, minus the tree and decorations.

Following GB equals following Christ (Visual Aid)
by Rank&FileGuy in.
just a visual aid to help everyone understand what message they're conveying in the watchtower study this coming sunday.
it's funny but just by using their first names instead of "governing body" really brings home the ridiculousness of it.. -rfg.

Brings this scripture to mind for me..
Psalms 146:3 & 4 "Do not put your trust in nobles, nor in the son of earthling man to whom no salvation belongs. His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; In that day his thoughts do perish."
